Volunteering

Here’s some of the STEM outreach and volunteering I’ve done, and continue to do, to help younger students, especially girls, build confidence in this field.

  • Hosted VEX IQ Competitions

I have hosted multiple competitions, helping teams troubleshoot robots and handling event setup, match flow coordination, AV/tech, and teardown.

  • Coach for RoboHillers Program

I mentored robotics for 80+ middle school students, advising on design and build, running meetings and team operations, and preparing teams for competitions.

  • MSEF Alumni Panel

I’m an MSEF alumni advisor, mentoring students through weekly meetings, serving on a student panel, and providing guidance on projects and presentations.

  • Hosted Girl Powerd Events

I have volunteered at my school’s girl-powered robotics outreach events, assisting with setup and running the station where participants build and launch their own rockets.

  • Organized STEM Outreach Events

I hosted various STEM outreach events, creating and presenting slideshows and running hands-on stations where kids could try different robotics activities.

  • Ran VEX IQ Lessons

I taught weekly VEX IQ lessons to elementary students, guiding them through the engineering design cycle as they built their own robots and finishing the program with a final competition
